Stress Management

Courses can be based around Health and Safety Executive draft standards for the management of stress

Background

Stress is increased as a result of increased competition, de-regulation, de-layering and the quickening pace of change.

Objectives

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
  • Recognise the symptoms of stress in themselves and others.
  • Understand the factors which cause or contribute to stress.
  • Apply a range of strategies for reducing stress.
  • Plan an individual strategy for avoiding and managing stress.

Method

Participants work in groups and plenary sessions. There will be the fullest opportunity for questions and discussion.
